[pmwiki-users] Uploaded files world readable!?

Hello all,

upload.php uses "fixperms($filepath,0444);", therefore uploaded files
get world read access, correct?

Why is this needed?

BTW: There is no "fixperms" for "Mini" thumbnails.

I'm running PmWiki an a shared hosting environment where PHP and the
web server (and the FTP server) use the same user ID. As far as I see,
fixperms without "add" wouldn't add any bits, correct?
