If you are editing PTVs, you would need to make sure every page contain these PTVs. If your page creation process creates these PTVs on new pages, there is no need to change multiple pages later.

But if you add other PTVs in future, you may need to add them on older pages as well.

but you can use the foxedit markup in your PageActions, or a page actions page of your skin, or in the template. No need to include it in every page.
