I also think the name is a bit ... unclear. I also don't have a better 
suggestion :-)  Perhaps something containing the word 'backend'? Or 
'helper'?

I use the MimeTeX recipe quite a bit, and although I don't have time to 
convert it, I could spend the time required to test a new version if you 
create one.  Converting MimeTeX to use 'Content' doesn't improve MimeTeX 
in itself AFAIK, but it may be benefitial to 'Content' since that will be 
tested more.
