Ah.  I think I'd rather have a clean implementation going forward with
2.0.0 than to try to behind-the-scenes fix up all of the previous ones.
This is why I'd prefer this as a local customization instead of in
the core -- in the future I expect that new sites will use whatever
system we develop and there won't be any !!!'s in the sidebar to worry
about.

Beyond that, if any existing sites were terribly concerned about
SEO before now it hasn't been strongly expressed.  :-)

(Also in the memo :-)  Before I can change the !!!!!'s I really
need to have some idea of what to change them to.  If I pick
something arbitrarily then lots of people will start building to
it, mistaking it for the new standard.  (Which is essentially what is
happening now with the !!!!!'s :-| ).
