Because as soon someone says "checkbox to add to the default trail page",
it becomes "drop-down list of available trails to add to", along
with "automatically add trail markup into the page".  I think I'd
prefer to just start with the trail markup.

For button-level simplicity, why not just add a GUIButton that
inserts the trail markup to link to the default page?  Couple
that with "trail markup automatically adds the page to the trail"
and it's a one-button operation to get a page onto a trail.
(Positioning the page in the trail still requires an edit, but
the link is already available.)
