Yeah, the listserv and sendmail got hung up somewhere yesterday and
so messages just got queued.  The listserv held the message for four hours
until I restarted things, then sendmail got clobbered with a bunch of
outgoing messages at once and is now slowly working through its backlog.
It does take a little bit of time for sendmail to locate and contact
the 300+ host recipients for each of the messages that it needs to send
out.

Watching the logs for this is fascinating.  :-)
